About Cedric’s Basement
Cedric’s Basement is a four-piece band formed by university friends reconnecting through music. They’ve performed at venues across Calgary, including Modern Love and Two Pillars Brewery, and are excited to bring their music to Alcove. You can find their original songs on all major streaming platforms.

Learn to DJ w/ Jadé
![]() | Curious about learning to DJ? Join Jadé for a hands-on workshop covering the fundamentals, including beatmatching, phrasing, EQing, sourcing music, Rekordbox basics, and an overview of DJ equipment. Designed with beginners in mind but open to all levels, this session also includes a Q&A to answer your burning DJ questions. Come learn the skills to start mixing with confidence! |
Meet your workshop facilitator: As a multi-genre DJ, Jadé’s unique genre-bending sound reflects whatever stage she plays on, highlights her love for dance music, and ensures no set sounds the same. She's played for a variety of events and organizations, including opening for the Chainsmokers and Chris Lake at Badlands Music Festival, Chasing Summer Music Festival, The Calgary Flames, Telus SPARK, Holt Renfrew, Hotel Arts, and Sweet Loretta Bar (just to name a few).
Through DJing, she hopes to create positive and inclusive spaces whenever she plays and make dance floors a place of joy where all can have fun and express themselves.
