Live Audio Technician Workshop with Tobi Sinclair

Join Tobi for a beginner-friendly live sound workshop and learn how to set up and operate sound equipment, explore the science of sound, and discover how to shape it in a live setting. Whether you’re a musician, aspiring sound engineer, or just curious, this hands-on workshop is your chance to dive into the world of live sound.

About your facilitator: Calgary-based, Filipino musician and producer Tobi Sinclair is looking to grow with the local music scene. From Pop, R&B, Funk and Hip-Hop influences, Tobi Sinclair is a versatile vocalist, accentuating harmonies with their wide vocal range and timbres.

They released their most recent project Crybaby in July 2024 on Spotify, a project that highlights their personal struggles with nicotine, alcohol, and money.

Tobi’s current projects focus on his multi-instrumental talents, playing drums, guitar and bass for multiple bands and artists across the Calgary music scene including The Blue and Tea Fannie. Notably, they are part of the 6 piece Hip-Hop fusion band Hip Hip Thursday as their drummer, an eclectic and raw hip-hop fusion band, writing songs about current world events.

Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 1:30-3:30pm

  • Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).
