What is Public Art? Community Convo and Kick-off!

Join us for a community conversation on how the question of “What is public art” will be uniquely explored at Alcove over the next 3 months. This is a kickoff event with a panel discussion that includes a local street artist, musician and mutual-aid art initiatives! The conversation will be moderated by Matias Martinez.

We are so excited to host a variety of programming over the Fall 2024 that includes window case activations and conversations exploring “What is Public Art?” in partnership with Calgary Arts Development.

‘Stories of this Land’ Community Mural LAUNCH

Come join the LAUNCH of our "Stories of this Land" community mural! Led by Matias Martinez, we will be creating a mural that represents the diverse stories, landscape and people that live, work and play on this land. Come make your mark & tell your story! The final mural will be revealed and completed in December 2024.
