Back for the New Year!
We are re-opening this Friday, January 26th!
Welcome back to the Alcove! We hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the holidays and had a great start to their year. The Alcove will be re-opening this Friday, January 26th for Raw Voices!
Hours of Operation have changed!
The drop-in art space hours have changed slightly. Our new hours are Wednesdays to Fridays 6 PM - 9 PM, and Saturdays & Sundays 1 PM - 6 PM.

Coming up in February: Chinook Blast
We will be taking part in the Chinook Blast festivities once again between February 2-19. Check out our Window Case Concert with One Big Jam and The Oratory, or drop by to warm up while checking out the different activations and installations in the area!

Washrooms out of order
Both of our washrooms are out of order currently due to plumbing issues from the cold weather. Our building manager is looking into the issue but for the time being, we have no washrooms for visitors to use. We apologize for the inconvenience!

About Us
The Alcove Centre for the Arts is a non-profit located in Calgary (244 7th Avenue SW). Our aim is to make the arts accessible through pay-what-you-can events and art workshops. We believe that art and creativity are integral to the human experience and in building vibrant and dynamic communities.
Visiting Us
Affordable parking is located at: TD Core’s Underground Parkade (745 4 St SW, Calgary, AB T2P 4K9). It has free 3-hour parking after 3pm on Weekdays, and a flat rate of $2 for longer stays. There is free 3-hour parking all day on Weekends, with a $2 flat rate for longer stays. If you're taking Calgary Transit we're just across from 3rd Street SW Station.
